All Folded up and Abstract
Yes, it is true, I am going to give this wallet away to a lucky one of you! You will have to work for it just a little bit though. Nothing hard or time consuming I promise.
About the Wallet-The wallet turned out great. I love the way it is so abstract when it is folded up, but when you open it BAM, she's beautiful.
The wallet has eight credit card slips and two deep bill/check pockets. The outer image is embroidered on with matching threads. A single snap holds the wallet shut and keeps your valuables in place.
The materials used were all hand-me-downs, left over scraps of fabric from other projects that had yet to find a use. They were donated to me by my mom and grandma. Who knew their junk would turn out to be such a treasure!

ReplyDeleteHelen- If it's artsy crafty I can pretty much do anything. BUT, I am no good at math! I wanted to study geology when I first went to college but there was too much math involved!

You definitely have a great eye for colour and have evidently gathered together a beautiful collection of reclaimed fabrics. I love the gorgeous silhouette that wraps around the wallet exterior and the complementary fabrics you've used on the inside.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to work on a smaller version this month. The price will depend on the amount of work. The Sassy Chica was a lot of work, the quilted ones like the red and black one (see Gulf Project) aren't so much work since they aren't as detailed with embroidery.

I would do all of the things that you have listed above to get entered but I seriously don't spend that much time "social networking." I don't even have any Twitter accts or You Tube accts or whatever else you have listed. Just a FB. That's all I have time for, I guess. Not sure how everyone else finds the time for all that "socializing." :) Love you!
