Upcycled Leather Cuff Bracelets

These fashionable upcycled leather bracelets are eco friendly. Made from old leather jackets, freecycled beads and recycled rhinstones from ice skating costumes.

Upcycled leather jacket and freecycled beads
Last night my friend sent me a picture of some leather bracelets she saw while she was vacationing in Mexico. She wanted to know if I could make some thing similar. I was immediately inspired. I have been trying to decide for months what I wanted to do with the four leather jackets that were donated to me last summer.

I cut off a sleeve and got started! I whipped up four leather wrist cuffs last night. I have a pretty good supply of freecycled and recycled beading material. I really wanted these to be as upcycled as possible.

Last year I also received a donation of rhinestones and sequined embellishments from a friend whose daughters use to be competitive figure skaters. The rhinestones are perfect for this project.

If you like these let me know. I don't have them on Etsy yet but if you want to buy one you can always contact me directly at ashvantol@gmail.com. They cost $10 or $12 depending on the amount of time they took to make.

  1. Love these, Ash! This type of leather product I can wrap my mind around :) I've always loved the look of leather, but I can't help feeling a twinge of guilt when I buy something. Man-made/vegan leather is my go-to... unless I can find something cool and upcycled like these!

  3. I love these! Bracelets are my weakness. I'm interested in buying one, but first I need to figure out which one I want! I'll send you an email when I do.

  4. Hi Friends,

Leather cuff bracelets come in different styles and shapes. These bracelets are worn by men and women. These are very much in vogue these days as they are in keeping with the trend of wearing stunning heavy pieces of jewelry. Thanks a lot...
